Sebastian Groth is a stalwart of the German techno scene who has been releasing music for over a decade. With the majority of his output focused on his own imprints ReWasted plus Audition Records, he has also featured on the likes of Funk'n Deep, Naked Lunch, and Darknet.
Dark and driving with an industrial edge, he is known for a punishing style of techno that blends analogue textures with raw percussion to create hard-hitting grooves perfect for the dance floor.
This new release from Sebastian Groth is a return to his Audition Records, and it also features a remix by Markus Weigelt who has also been a feature of imprints like District Underground and RE:Pitched.
The original track “Codes” is a classic taken from Groth’s back catalogue, and this release includes three new versions that have been made by Sebastian himself. Each fully embraces the thrashing high-end percussion and lurching bassline that delivers an onslaught of devastation alongside the thundering kick drum.
Markus Weigelt‘s remix has a refined structure with a steady momentum of energy that unfolds with the help of eerie pads and sinister intensity before unleashing hell when it drops after the main break.
